"better" lol everyone wears the same clothes in the same colors and people will give you weird stares if you go out wearing anything slightly more colorful. japanese fashion is more diverse and way more interesting/"better"
I have watched a lot of Korean Drama series (and still watching) and every time I see how well dressed the men and women are. Thanks to that I started to work on my own fashion wardrobe.

Not trying to be disrespectful but when i went to Korea i thought the exact opposite. Everyone looked like they're doing some microtrend cosplay. I dont wanna sound like a asshole but it all seemed so plastic-ish to me. Maybe reading that Berardi essay bout korean culture right before going there was a mistake but its really how i felt

Most Koreans dress like NPCs, very little personal style. Overly focused on brands and trends. Of course there are exceptions, but most people here just try to fit in.
