I agree that Queen Camilla is going down the path of allowing the Royal ladies to choose their tiaras in order of precedence for state events. HLMTQ was always worried about the public perception of ostentatious jewellery being worn (flaunted) by the Royal ladies. We have all seen instances where the jewellery worn by royal ladies is totalled up and that amount is the subject of headlines in the anti-monarchist MSM with information regarding how many poor families or homeless people that amount could feed/house – never mentioning the fact that those jewels have not been recent purchases but actually were purchased by past family members personally and have been in the family for at least three generations. The personal wealth and jewels of the BRF have always been a bone of contention with the anti-monarchist brigade.

I personally think that Eugenje’s tiara was the loveliest of them all. The Grenville Emerald Tiara looked spectacular on her. Then next was Queen Mary’s French Tiara worn also by Queen Elizabeth on her wedding day which looked superb on the queen, but not on Beatrice. It looked rather tacky on her because of the way she was dressed; not elegant at all! Queen Elizabeth looked spectacular on her wedding day!!
The tiara Katherine wore on her wedding day was a little too simple for the occasion. I think, she could have had something a little more grand. Perhaps the Strathmore Rose Tiara would have been a touch more elegant. After all, she is to be the future Queen of England. Mind you, I can think of other tiaras that would have been exquisite but then again, we couldn’t upstage Queen Elizabeth’s wedding tiara! I’m a little disappointed at Queen Elizabeth not allowing Katherine something a little more ostentatious than the Cartier Halo Tiara. Although this tiara is very beautiful, it did nothing to make Katherine look EXTRA specially beautiful on her wedding day.
