Can make it to isolation for homes
I think a big reason for this is companies who make things that will fit nobody. Don’t do that.

Hey Ginger.
Thank you for mainstreaming these issues.
Hopefully your boss will let you shine a light on more of the things that get me eye rolls at dinner parties.
At which point I will inevitably roll my eyes at how everyone is on the bandwagon.
And I can move on to the other issues.
Good on ya!
Yes we in fact , can!!
Whether we buy or not…Clothing corps are still going to make useless clothes. All while not paying their fair share of taxes.🙄 The consumer is always damned if we do or dont. We see Express is closing, and im like yaay another fast fashion company..gone. yet on another page they're like awwww all those people are losing their jobs..which one is it?? Do we want these companies gone or for people to work shitty jobs??
Great segment & much needed!
I bought 3 t shirts last year. This year the only reason I am getting new clothes is because I’m pregnant and fat.
god bless the consumer. if you want something, buy something. our rags and cast offs are clothing the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th world. ABC stands for all bad [news] content. the MSM media is failing because the american people are tired of being lectured to…
Going to the thrift store and seeing so much is from SHEIN. It’s going to end up in the landfill. Scary.
We are a throw-away society 😢
Humanity is on the brink of disaster if there needs to be a 'No New Clothes Challenge' challenge. Seriously, how out of touch with reality are Americans with what they consume and dispose.
I remember years ago before Covid, our country the Philippines received shipment full of garbage from US and Canada, thank goodness our government managed to work it out and I believed it was rejected and returned.
If each state here in the U.S. had its own landfill of specifically clothes like how it's shown here, I think we'd view things differently. The concept of waste & consequence would be a reality for us, rather than something we ship off to another country to deal with. It's irresponsible. We can do better
Produce less needs to happen.
Social Media is so toxic in most ways.
Ugh.
All these people.buying this crap are the same screaming about climate change.
want me to do something about it…
I do not buy new fashions. I have found if you keep an item because you like it. Hems go up or down as the market goes up and down. I am 83 and have seen hem lines go up and down.
Address of Maria Fernando Pizarro Torres owner of Casa Circular in Chile, please.
No mention of thrift and consignment stores… I buy almost everything used
I'm going to whistleblower Goodwill. It's true, it goes straight to the landfill if the clothes are unwearable; organized which is sellable and unsellable. Please don't donate. 🙅🏽♂️
where are they getting the funding from? hmmm
Great! 🥺🙄🤣
Guess we need to talk about "The Emperors New Clothes" 😊😂😅
Gen Z and Millennials- “I care about the environment”
Also Gen Z and Millennials- “20 Shien shirts for this month please”
A little late with this information.
I quit buying so much clothing years ago when I started to learn how it was impacting other communities of the world: people getting sick, water pollution, overworked, abused and underpaid. I told myself I was not going to be part of that problem and started researching the practices of companies. Several years ago I found the sites eco-stylist and the good trade. All products I now purchase are fair trade, eco centric and sustainably made. They may costs more so I buy less but I enjoy and use everything because first and foremost they are all intentional purchases and not just bought on a whim but from a wish list. The companies also do not ship in plastic, are all part of 1% for the planet, some allow you to tip and send a thank you note to the creator of your garment, support causes that align with my values and plant trees. I get a lot more with my money now than just an item and I no longer experience buyers remorse.
Please don’t give these nice guys arthritis.
AND IT'S ALL DUMPED IN AFRICAN & DEVELOPING COUNTRIES KNOWING DAMN WELL THEY DON'T HAVE THE INFRASTRUCTURE TO HANDLE IT.
How embarrassing. Ginger Zee makes her the story
List website links for companies fighting waste, please.
so angelina jolie, leonardo decaprio, jane fonda, living in several luxury mansions with water bills in the thousands for their heated pools they don't use, electric bills in the thousands, fine food cooked and tossed in the garbage after each meal, luxury bags and lots of hair dye, plus private jets and luxury yaghts for themselves for millions of dollars telling you not to donate a few tee shirts and bag of clothes every few months, many giving them away on fb and other sites to other needy familes. they are so out of touch with the real world its incredible
If Celebrities wear it only once, so will I. Can't be seen wearing the same thing twice on Social Media.
This is almost as insidious as the "Carbon Footprint" propoganda. Yes, there are some individual bad actors, but the BULK of the problem stems from the Big Corporations. Stop pointing the finger at individual people.
I actually really like the Trashie Idea
The problem is again the consumer is to blame instead of pointing out the real problem which is with the corporations.
Just stop.. fashion has gotten stupid.
I never throw out any clothes. I reuse everything!
This is simply an ad for trashy.
I haven’t bought new cloth since high school about 11 years ago
So not all of us have a wardrobe with half of the same clothes that it had 7-10 years ago?
Sometime we have this urge to shop for "new" stuffs, we all do, what I'd do is buy vintage/2nd hand clothing. It's fun, and I'm happy with what I can do for the environment.
Climate???
we are funding wars our government doesn't care about the climate if so they would not be funding genocide
Who buys 70 garments a year? Rich white women? I have way more ways to spend my money. How many outfits does one need?
So women are the problem. Got it.
That is a job for the politicians to do the consumer already pay for. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
It would be nice to see the videos rather than women showing off their new clothes, to show off their investment accounts of adding to their portfolios what they would have spent on outfits that month. Rather than $400 in blouses see what $400 in VOO would yield in a month.
The news media Headline says,
“What can you do”
Notice it doesn’t say.
“What can we do”
The news media in America is an absolute disgraceful abomination.
Instead of buying too much clothes. Give the money to me 🤑
I don’t donate clothing. I’ve seen it ends up in another country’s trash.
She has a very expensive suit on I know she recently bought for this interview lol
