Great vid loved it ❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯🫶🏿🫶🏿🫶🏿🫶🏿🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍
Love the lace maxi skirts, I just turned 54 if I didn't dress in the current fashion trends my teenage son wouldn't be seen with me 😂
Would love a fall fashion style guide, like you created for the summer season
Love it. Yes maxi skirts rule at any age. Specially love boho maxi skirts
Sorry not a fan of the skirt-modesty is important and we are put to shame by more modest cultures.
I am not ashamed to thrift shop😊
There is nothing like spotting a 100% pure silk dress, shirt or scarf at a consignment shop or thrift store. Or a beautiful designer item that will always stay in style year after year. It's worth waiting for. I miss thrifting with my Mom so much. We had alot of fun finding designer treasure.
Bear in mind that DC has a lot of wealthy people. And the best thrifting is always in wealthy areas.
Im sorry but there is no age on clothing and I think ladies should wear what they like no matter their age .
This was so interesting and so very, very helpful.
Most of my wardrobe (75%) is secondhand – both thrift store and online resell thrifted. 20% is sewn handmade by me. 5% is purchased new from a TJMaxx or Marshall’s or Zara – depending on what I find that’s worthy in clearance. Shoes I purchase new, very seldom thrift them. As far as trends go, I like what I like and wear what I want to wear and don’t really follow trends. I’m picky about color, fit and style. I do not hesitate to have anything I buy altered if I love it. At 63 I know myself very well and I find in this decade of life my style has shifted more to modern classic with quirky bright colorful accents and a touch of boho. I’m like a cross between Ralph Lauren and House of Harlow with a touch of modern crazy artist. 🤭 😂🤣 The lace skirt idea isn’t my thing, but give me a sequin pencil midi skirt with a Led Zepplin t-shirt and a pair of Keds sneakers and I’m rocking it. 👍😎
I recently lost a lot of weight due to a medication and have replaced almost my whole wardrobe by thrifting! It's been so much fun and inexpensive. I didn't want to spend a whole lot bc I probably won't stay this weight forever but I get compliments everyday on my outfits. Thank you for the great video!❤❤❤
giiiirrrrlll if I was 80 I would still be wearing the lace maxi skirt lol <3
This my favorite video of yours so far!
Red white and blue thrift stores have a lot of jewelry and belts
I don’t how much longer are you staying here with us but you can pay $65 extra and take an extra suitcase, purchase it online if you wait for the airport it is $100
Thank you for this fabulous episode on thrifting the fall trends!!! I GOT SO MUCH INFORMATION!!😊😊😊I'm excited to go thriving now! Love your channel, I live in Massachusetts usa.
Age is silly. My attractive 88 yr old relative still works out and has a body more stunning than some youngsters. Ppl think she’s in her late 50’s and she would look elegant in some of the skirt pieces.
I think animal prints are over-done for the moment.
Purchased 2 Cashmere and 1 merino wool Sweaters in the last 2 weeks. All in my favorite color, all fit very well, all had Nordstrom tags and $15 for all 3!
Love polo shirts, have 5 and I have a black vest bought in mid 90s, hate animal print.
Got a light weight wool, Jane Daniels Blazer in perfect condition from Hospice charity shop for $38
Hi what is your purse at 8:00 min ? Thank you ! Awesome video
I have a collection of vintage Ralph Lauren blazers I add to and never get rid of. This year I will pull our a farorite green one, a gorgeous brown suede one with a dyed to match sweater…I have not worn these for several years. I have other I wear every year eg navy. I have a great leather burgundy blazer that I will wear this year too not RL brand. I collect leather pieces too.
Great video! And this is coming from a long time thrifter. One of your categories is something I am going to consider the next time I go.
Most of my clothes are thrifted men's clothes. Women's blazers don't have the inside pockets, or the deep pockets, or the quality fabric and craftsmanship that men's blazers have. Women's pants have silly little half pockets that I can't put a phone in, or it'll fall out in the toilet. (It happened.) It just makes me so mad that "women's clothes" mean cheap fabric, cheap construction, no attention to detail, and we're probably paying twice the price as men's clothes. I'm lucky that I'm the perfect size for wearing men's shoes, shirts, pants, and blazers, and I have an amazing wardrobe full of all of these menswear pieces that I wear all year long on rotation.
Sometime, if you're really into thrifting, check out Omaha, Nebraska for their Goodwill stores. I moved away from the area in 2014; at that time there were seven or eight stores, all over town, in the different types of areas of town. The stores on the west side were near the brand-new housing, so they had a lot more new stuff, it seemed like; every store had its own neighborhood flavor. This is the hometown of one of the world's richest men, Warren Buffett. I know where his home is located. He still lives there, in the neighborhood that was developed I think in the '60s. He draws a lot of wealth to Omaha and it's really prosperous in general; great for thrift store shopping.
Suede Jackets???
They are just DELIGHTFUL!!! Bring them on!!!
Bravo for your find of the Lace skirt!!! 👏I forget the person who said…" Style has no "number" (age) , just clothes"
Will you not agree?!! 😉 You look lovely in it.
What a FABULOUS video Ms Leonie!!!
We HAVE TO….change our thoughts about second-hand or thrift stores and give the amazing clothes a second life!!
(The Planet will thank us!!)

Thanks so much for sharing! I'm a tall girl as well & forget to look at the men's section when thrifting. I'm excited to go shopping now. Thanks again for the info. By the way, I love your style! All the best…Paula
Thank you. I am a veteran thrift shopper. However, I never thought of turning to the men's department. I just found a couple of great shirts because of your video!
I have always loved thrifting!! Thanks so much for the video I loved it!
Suede is very hard to maintain. I’ve gone for a 2nd hand dark brown leather funnel knack longline jacket off an auction site . Excellent condition, it was a fraction of the new retail price
I usually "thrift" my own – enormous and numerous – closets 😉 -so thanks a lot for all this inspiration. Just "thrifted" a maxi crocheted skirt; being 67, don't feel it to be too "young" for me. Great content, as always. Thank you so much for doing this even when traveling.
Yes for the pinterest thing
I work on a military base, and I stop by the on-base thrift store every week. Lots of great things can be found!
Most of my clothes are thrifted. Cost aside, it is the easiest way I have found to start experimenting with new trends and refresh my wardrobe. It’s so much more fun than conventional shopping.
Great video, Leonie! Thank you!😊
Hi.. pls do not take this in a negative way. There was something off with the audio on this video while listening on my headphones, it as literally scratching my ear so I could not listen to it at all. I love your videos and always look forward to seeing them.
I don’t think age has anything to do with the outfit. Don’t think anyone looks good in a lace maxi skirt w giant tee & big trainersBUT as always, we should wear what we like. I just think it looks too sloppy & trying too hard to be edgy.
