Hi Sharon – I have just come across your video and I am hoping you can help! My mother has made Vogue Issey Miyake 1476 amd I love her coat and would like to make it. She still has the pattern but not the instructions! I hoping you made a video of you making it and you could point me in the right direction ???? Thankyou in advance – it will save me so much angst and frustration trying to work it out ! Cheers from Sydney Australia – Annalisa
Loved the styles from the 1978 and 1981 editions! I've been looking on Etsy for older sewing patterns from the 80's. Thanks for the memories!
Sharon you are taking me down memory lane. Great fashion.
I love this
I noticed there’s a ton of 50s YouTube sewists, and then very historical sewists, but no dedicated 70s YouTube channel.
Yes the stretch gauge is on patterns for stretch fabric now a days
Obsessively love vintage pattern 60-70s in particular and walking through these was magical. I wish they still made these now!
Its wonderful that you still have these. I remember them and wish i still had the.
Love it, I was born in ‘68, my mom sewed a bunch of these, she was very stylish! I still have a couple patterns from the 1980s that I sewed then. Thanks for sharing.
Love, love this show! So many memories!
Since learning to sew recently, I’ve realized I REALLY love 70s sewing fashion. I’m a fan of geometric patterns in general as I’m a graphic designer, so the seam lines & top-stitching of the 70s really shows how creative sewing can be as an art form, in my opinion.
