I take your advice on how to dress seriously and follow your style advice when I buy staple items. With the nail polish I canāt follow as very arthritic fingers are not something you want to draw attention to. Keep it up Iām listening.š

This was such great advice. I love the bold prints but not for me! I am short, I think bold prints don't work on a small frame. If you are tall and slender, they are great. Us short and petite women have to be mindful of that. A small print works better for me. Also I only wear vertical stripes which visually add length – NO horizontal stripes for me!
The advice to ātake a photo of yourselfā in the clothes is SO true. For some reason, we see ourselves in a mirror very differently than in a photo. (Same thing applies to a room if youāre stumped at declutterring or re-arranging). But take the picture. It only takes a few seconds, and shows much more.

I have been watching, and enjoying Nikol's videos for a while now, and they have definitely given me some food for thought…I have a closet full of clothes that I never wear, partly because I lost some 40 lb a few years ago, and while I have managed to maintain it, there have been some times that I've gained a little bit back and resorted to the larger pieces for a while until I get back to the status quo. I'd also like to lose another 10 or 15, but not so desperately that I relish the idea of what it takes to get there. I will never be Nikol's size, and, from previous experience, I also know I look best at around a size 10 (I generally wear a 12, or sometimes 14 now, and I'm 64, so those few extra pounds really do plump up the wrinkles LOL). My natural style tends toward the Bohemian, so there is little in Nikol's wardrobe which I feel matches my personality, as much as I do appreciate the way she carries them.
As I said, I have been watching her for a while, and maybe there are things I have missed, but I wonder whether she ever has guests with different builds and different styles who can offer tips on how to achieve an elegant look without having the classic build to go with it, or how to proceed if you simply don't look good in black, white, or beige.
I am dark Autumn. I look like a corpse if I put black on. I also need to select my whites carefully, I need cream instead of pure white.

I know it saves money. Iām pushing 70 and most of my friends have passed or moved states away. My friend has her own one person operation and does permanent make up too. I go because she has been a dear friend for 30 years. Itās more Ike a social outing for me. The same with my hairdresser. He has done my hair from back in the day when I was a patrol officer working my way up the ranks. I guess most people would think my social life is lacking, but I find it very fulfilling with a small group of friends. I do miss the great dinner parties we would have. I paint now and have a rescue bunny. I have my own little business of creating one of a kind pieces and only advertise by word of mouth.
Watching all you videos from hair to make up to how to dress has been a big help for me recover my lost self ever since the Covid 19and vaccine lies; I love all the products and makeup you have showcased . Totally agree with you about doing own manicures and pedicures as I find they chip so easily and end up taking if odd after one or two days – total waste of money.

Yes, please know your body type! With having cancer 3 times so far, my body type has changed each time. Yesterday I found a white jumpsuit. The legs were split and wrapped around with a skirt like apperence, the top fit like a dream, and it was the Perfect lenght for my 5 ft frame. Took some pictures, forwarded to my friend, ask them to hold while I shopped next door.
Today I own that beautiful jumpsuit and a silk teal oversized shirt as a cover in cooler enviroments like resturants. (I will be in Hilton Head visiting family next week.) Bottom line, after all my health and almost 67, if it makes me feel SEXY, its a good buy!!!
