For some reason I feel like now more than ever there seems to be a really wide gap between popular fashion and what people are wearing in real life.

Coming back to this vid in 2025 and i think about half the trends were right in some way. It might be that the others didnt survive that high fashion to commercial pipeline, but idk. Wonder if it might just be the socio-cultural events of last year lol.

rewatched this video to confirm the trends, many of these were… wrong but not completely, i think we never expected traditionalist clothing to come back into the mainstream as much in 2024, bc most of the predictions here, were seen on sub cultures like indie sleaze for example, but this year clothes were toned DOWN, let's hope the same doesn't occur this year

If you said lime or neon green I would have thought you were a time traveler (or just the best in the business to predict future trends) with the whole brat summer, brat green thing. But I think you got gingham right on the money, in Sabrina Carpenters music video for taste she wore a blue and white gingham set, corset and cigarette pants. Also with the whole Wicked movie/ press tour Ariana Grande wore some gingham. I know that’s only two people but two very popular and influential people right now in pop culture. And I don’t have the knowledge of interviewing with every living person to talk about if they wore the gingham trend or not. But, my sister did purchase a blue and white gingham bikini from a fast fashion brand with makes me think that the trend is selling and has trickled down to retail sales.

Yes I know not everyone can afford these bags but wouldn't people want to see what other people think of the bag before wasting their money? Like what other YouTubers have said about this bag, I bought a kislux and I'm very happy with my bag. I love a good knockoff kislux because it helps me decide if I want to buy the real thing. Thatâ s the part. Thatâ s it. I feel like people discriminate against knockoffs, but for me, Iâ ll pause when buying a trendy big-ticket item or when I feel the over-consumption frenzy is coming for me.

I feel like skeletons and skulls were definitely popular this year, i've seen loads of people were skeleton themed clothing plus I've kept seeing them at stores
Also It feels like this year atleast from what i've seen go go boots were really popular instead of the victorian boots and that's likely because of how popular Sabrina Carpenter got this year
I could be wrong but I don't think punk pirate really took off although I did notice that being a pirate was a popular Halloween costume this year but that was about it

In LA, no one ive seen is even remotely interested in fashion. Its like where have the. Creatives gone since the pandemic? Theres a post pandemic crisis in fashion going on and its also affecting music as well. Maybe New York is where the fashion is because its not in LA anymore.
