My stomach is the biggest part of my body. I have thin legs getting thinner as I get older
How do I find my body shape
Very helpful…but please show the recommended clothing on plus size women so we know how those items would look on a larger body.
I wanted to like this but I need info on having a big stomach. I'm 5'10, 260 lbs and shoulders like a linebacker. 33.4" inseam. So basically the crotch is always at my knees, sleeves are 3/4 and everything is box shaped. HELP PLEASE…oh I'm 57 and a size 22/24 3x, apple shape.
Thank you so much for the insight. It is very helpful!
This is so helpful. I can’t help but think, “I don’t want to spend that kind of money when I’m so fat. I’ll wait until I lose weight…” which I’ve been saying for 15 years…
This is very insightful. What a lovely, gifted and empathetic lady. I love as well that she has mentioned ethical angora. We must consider where our clothes come from so that we don’t perpetuate suffering of animals or people. Thank you very much for a first class video ❤
I've watched a lot of these types of videos. Finally, someone who makes sense! I am a little shy of six foot, I'm in my mid 50's, plus size and love fashion. I always say, no matter your size, you have a shape. I'm a bottom hourglass. I am filling out in the middle a little these days, so I have become more aware of anything enhancing my middle too much. I like drawing in garments with a belt to create a waist without clinging. This doesn't always work, but usually. Best tip I have heard for plus size dressing, belts should be medium thickness. Game changer, too thick and they make you look boob heavy, too thin and they're lost on your form, but medium thickness, goldilocks option.
Thank you for your down to earth tips 😃
I'm tall and large boned, sorry, don't know how else to describe that. I had a dexa scan and the tech even said I was a large girl. Made me feel horrid. I've always been skinny and athletic but now due to many issues I've gained weight and can't figure out how to dress. I've always been in t-shirts and jeans but no jeans fit my belly or straight but no-waist body now. Wearing athletic wear makes me look ridiculous. I wish clothing manufacturers would make stuff for taller, heavier structured females. Not just larger around but like broad shouldered, long arms and legs. I can't find anything that goes to my wrists I end up looking like Chris Farley in that movie with David Spade. I end up buying men's shirts because at least they are longer in the limbs. Hoping to learn more from you. 💕
Love how supportive and kind you are
I feel like anything pants that aren’t skinny make my 5’4” frame look like tree trunks. It’s feels so bulky
Very helpful 💕
As a 67 year old Muslim woman who covers, I found my style several years ago. I always wear abayas (long outer dresses) in solid colors, long solid colored cardigans in a matching or coordinating color, and a printed coordinating scarf covering my hair. The abayas are generally pleated at the bust, thus helping minimize my slightly thicker middle. Underneath I wear soft, black leggings and a moisture wicking undershirt, both leggings and undershirt are of soft thin fabric to keep me cool under my abaya. I get so many compliments on my style. They say I have a classic, professional look. I don’t emphasize my figure, rather, my style and frame. I am a teacher and my modesty works great, I never worry about exposure when bending over or moving about. My students and colleagues, who are all non-Muslim say I’m so put together and fashionable. A big plus is nothing I wear is binding or uncomfortable in any way. So glad I finally got it together and embraced my style.
Thank you so much for your help… Now, to find the right choices for me. It annoys me that curvy fashion designers/manufacturers and store sales staff seem to think that curvy people should wear or want to wear circus tents, one size fits all, and batwing sleeves with huge floral of wide horrizontal stripe patterns. I live in a rural town, and finding clothes for me is discouraging frustrating and depressing.😢
Thank you, great tips for all!
Thank you, this video was really helpful !!! I always have trouble with my short waist line, dresses look blah – just an idea for your content ❤
My problem with the plus sizes is that it seems like they take small patterns and just add inches all around. So you send up with excessively large neck bands, drooping shoulders and trousers that are 5" too long. But, the sleeves are still short. If I find a "3/4 length" sleeve, it almost goes to my wrist. Long sleeves? Forget it.
I have a large bust and I take on board the fact that I look like a sack of potatoes in a voluminous dress. However, I gather some fabric on the inside at my tummy and off centre, and tie it up with an elastic band and voila I have a ruched dress that cinches my waist. Fabulous hack!
❤❤❤
Can you show the cuts in a video that look better on plus sized women then skinny women?
Way too much telling and not ever enough showing 🫤
Thanks for this great show! Do you have any tips for wheelchair users? I am a 1X size and sometimes feel that what looked OK when I was standing, does not flatter at all when sitting. Are assessories the answer? I would appreciate any advice.👩🦳
😄❣
Great video, so relevant and helpful.
Appreciate your perspective💕💐 will be turning in.
